Optimze Your Desktop Experience

You can enhance your Desktop experience by doing the following.

  1. Use Office 2003 or later. These versions of office offer more interactivity with the Desktop.
  2. Use the latest version of Internet Explorer. To make sure you have the latest version, open Internet Explorer and go to Help | Check for Updates, or check with your IT department.
  3. Add the Desktop to your Trusted Sites.
    • Open Internet Explorer, click Tools | Internet Options.
    • Click on the Security tab at the top.
    • Click on the Trusted Sites icon in the window.
    • Click the Sites button.
    • In the box labeled "Add this website to the zone", type the following: https://*.lawdepartmentdesktop.com
    • Click the Add button. Click Close. Click OK.
  4. Add a Spell Checker. Download and install IESpell from IESpell.com.
  5. Use Alerts to stay up-to-date. Use the Desktop's Alerts system to be notified of new items, changes to existing items, etc. View the training modules on Alerts in the list below.
